The first event within the framework of thsi project took place in January 2023 in Hamburg. Since then, we had already five editions and we collected the participants feedback in order to improve the organization of the event.
As suggested by the name, the Zouk Skillsharing Project is meant to offer a space for all of us to share the skills and knowledge that we gathered along our dance journey. Within the context of this project, we learn together, discuss dance related topic and try our best to make Zouk accessible to everyone.
Many of us devoted a substantial time to learn about Zouk, dancing, and movement technique. We traveled to congresses, attended workshops, classes, explored on our own, or simply figured out things during social dancing, which gave us ideas about how to improve our experience and that of our partners. It is now time to share what we learned and thought about along our dance journey and to create for all participants a safe space to learn, practice and discuss dance related topics.
We believe that everyone has something relevant to share, no matter whether he or she dances since a few months or since many years, so do not be afraid to try!
We only ask you to come with a positive attitude and be ready to share your knowledge, but also to listen, to question your own view on any topic, and to accept that different people may have different opinions, and that there are several, correct ways of achieving a certain goal in dance.
